Our Wedding Part 2 : Flowers

One day, while clicking through original and alternative wedding blogs on the internet (like www.rocknrollbride.com and www.offbeatbride.com), I found a couple of features on different ideas for buttonholes:

Inspired, I preceded to buy ALOT of felt, all different colours, and MANY buttons to make our own bespoke buttonhole flowers - all of them a little gift to all the great guys in our lives (I'm biased, but they were the best best men/ushers/party starters/comedy geniuses a newly wed couple could ask for!).

My bouquet was different - I really wanted to have real flowers after hearing my mum talk about the scent of freesias reminding her of her wedding day all my life. I chose jasmine to go with tulips and daffodils, arranged by a lady called Helen Pearson. When I sat with her to brainstorm ideas I loved her reaction to when I said I wanted as much colour as I did... in February! She did a fantastic job and I love how many people commented on how vibrant our flowers looked against the (not so traditional, but totally expected) black...

Keep checking back because I will post a tutorial on here one day, but in the meant time there are so many videos on YouTube where clever people have taken the time to show us how to make felt flowers. Also, it's a great excuse to get a glue gun... I love my glue gun... just sayin'.
